Lead by example

Ralph Waldo Emerson has been attributed the quote, “Your actions are speaking so loudly, I can’t hear what you’re saying”.
People tend to follow those who know where they are going better than they do a set of directions handed down by leadership that might not appear to be on the same path.

When your team’s success and your leadership can be tied back to the same actions, you are creating integrity, cohesion, and trust where simply disseminating direction could never.

The same applies to your process. Own it. Set expectations that you are prepared to meet as well.
