Simple

I said “Simple” not “Easy”. Tremendous difference. In fact, I would venture to say that simplicity, real simplicity is actually more difficult to arrive at than complexity. Complexity is easy because you get to leave all of these undone ends that lend themselves to the complexity. Simplicity requires that you iron out every detail to a level that is easily conveyed and understood.

In business processes the world over, we see complex “solutions” that are rarely actually understood by the organizations claiming to be benefitting from them. Rare is the business that has adopted a process that every single member of the team can unpack for you in a single setting. From the CEO to the Tradesman, a truly simple process is one that can be easily explained, by and to both ends of the corporate spectrum.
