A user interface is like a joke. If you have to explain it, it’s not good.
The information that you rely on for creating metrics from your applied business process will only be as good as your interface allows it to be.
If people are discouraged from using your elected systems because the interface is confusing or “too technical” then you may as well have no system in place.
With regards to an effective system, we like to reference the kiosk at the airport that allows you to select your seat. No one is ever trained on one of these kiosks, but everyone is an expert.
